Have you heard of Form 8938 - to be filed with your tax return if you have assets overseas

If on December 31st of 2014 you had over $100,000 or at any time during the year you had over $150,000 overseas, you have to file 8938 with your 1040 tax return.

This is not the same as FBAR and the penalties are high for non-filing.
